ATSF C44-9W 682 is only a month old in October 1994 as it leads its coal train out of the Antelope Creek area toward Logan, WY. This picture is sort of a portent of the coming merger between ATSF & BN. BN 5138 (the second unit) is a former C30-7 which has been uprated by GE to 3300 hp and re-designated as a C33-7.
