AMTRAK P42DC 193 leads #3, the Southwest Chief past the trio of semaphore at the east end of the Chapelle, NM siding on April 19, 2013. The blade on the west facing semaphore to the left of the rear segment of the train is just finishing its drop into the horizontal ("stop") position. The opposite semaphore guarding the main line to the left of the locomotive could use some paint on the blade to keep it from becomming invisible against the background. From where I was standing, the blade became invisisble when it dropped, but it is still probably ok from the train crew's vantage point.
