Amtrak FP40-H 396 brings the Desert Wind into the UP-ATSF junction at Daggett, CA as it heads toward Barstow, Cajon Pass and Los Angeles in May 1993. Upon retirement from Amtrak this locomotive was purchased by Southern California Metrolink and renumbered 800.
