AMTRAK P42 86 eases the southbound Vermonter toward the CSX main line at Palmer, MA on June 17, 2010. The train will enter the CSX main traveling east, and then reverse direction and head west toward Springfield, MA. The train has power on both ends, and Amtrak P42 48 will take over when it heads west.
