BN C30-7 5581 rolls through Crawford, NE in July 1992 after its rear helper set has tied on. It's getting a running start for the Crawford Hill grade which begins on the other side of town. On the right are additional helper sets awaiting their call. Just beyond the lead helper unit is the signal for the now non-existant crossing diamond where the CNW "Cowboy Line" formerly crossed the BN. Even though the track was removed the signals stayed in place for some time, permanently displaying a red aspect for the CNW trains which would never again pass through.
