Abo canyon construction at Scholle, NM on April 04, 2011.

If this were April 1, the caption could read: A new broad gauge (12 ft) test track is being laid for a novel wide gauge high speed train with a low center of gravity. In reality, the new line's rails are now awaiting the tie laying. A train load of concrete ties is sitting at Mountainair, NM. This picture was taken on April 4, 2011. Because of the new track alignment, the old main will have to cut into the new main here, while a new section on the left will cut in to the old main at the curve. The new track will be on the north side of the old main at Scholle. The current signals there will be removed. New signals are in place several hundred feet to the east of the current signals.
