BNSF 4488 is the final DPU unit on this stack train descending Ash Hill on November 17, 2011.

Descending the east side of Ash Hill: BNSF C44-9W 4488 is the final distributed power unit on this eastbound stack train (shown at East Ash Hill in the previous image) in the Mojave desert on November 17, 2011. The entire train is visible traversing the stark desert terrain. The reason for the name "Ash Hill" is very evident with some large solid "Ash" rocks of lava everywhere.
