BNSF ES44DC 7684 passes through the junction at Dalies, NM on August 21, 2007. On the right of the third unit is the track branching off to the Raton line. In the background is the iconic ATSF era signal bridge. Although the signals on the transcon have been replaced beyond those around the junction in both directions, the searchlight signals and signal bridges still guard the junction (10/2011). The 7684 is one of the last units to be painted with the "pumpkin" paint scheme (BNSF Heritage II paint scheme). Shortly after this unit was released, the current black "BNSF Wedge" paint scheme was adopted.
