BNSF 8627 is the last of five units on the Riverside local at Highgrove, CA on August 31, 2007.

BNSF B40-8 8627 is the final unit of 5 4-axle units powering the San Jacinto local as it leaves the 38 mile San Jacinto branch and gets back on to the transcon main at Highgrove, CA on August 31, 2007. This power consist has four different locomotive types as well as four different paint schemes. It's an interesting bit of trivia that the units are variations on a theme: 8627 as well as the lead unit (8622) are B40-8's while the 581 is a B40-8W. BNSF 158 is a GP60M while 8712 is a standard GP60.
