Chicago and Northwestern EMD GP50 is the lead engine on a freight passing through Tipton, Wyoming in April 1988. The 5068, built in 1980, was in the first order for GP50's built by EMD. The second locomotive, Conrail SD50 6700 was the class engine for Conrail's first group of SD50's. After the merger it was renumbered to NS 5400.
