CNW SD60 8041 along with UP SD60 6080 roll their westbound stacker toward the UP overland route connection at Fremont, NE past two waiting trains at Kennard, NE in July 1993. The single track CNW main between California Jct. IA, west of Missouri Valley, and Fremont was handling increased trafffic due to the midwest flooding. This 10,000 foot siding was the only siding on the 30 mile stretch between East Fremont and California Junction, but here it was long enough to ease congestion by holding both of the waiting eastbounds.
