John L Mathis

CNW C42-8 8558 is on the point of a Union Pacific coal train in the Powder River basin near Reno Junction (MP46) in July 1992. The 8558 was one year old when this picture was made. Unlike the CNW C40-8's which were painted in "Safety Yellow" the C42's returned to a "Traditional Yellow" paint scheme.
