Canadian Pacific MLW M630 4572 waits in the rain on the D&H in Oneonta, NY in September 1994. Because of a severe power shortage the big MLW M630's were brought back from the dead line, given minimum maintenance in Montreal's re-opened Angus shops, and pressed into service mainly as trailing units. Not many miles remain for this tired unit but, this day, on the "acid train" it's doing its duty behind a CP SD40-2 and a rental unit, and is waiting here for an opposing train to pass before continuing on south.
