CN C40-8W 2461 (IC - Illinois Central) is part of a BNSF power consist far from home rails, heading east toward Belen, NM. Here the unit is passing through the Dalies junction on August 19, 2007. The 2461 was originally LMS (LSMX) 2461 which was part of a group leased to Conrail (later Norfolk Southern). The unit is sandwiched between two BNSF C44-9W's (each with a different paint scheme) and some of the small differences between the two generations other than the trucks, are evident here. The LMS lettering is also showing through on the rear of the unit.
