VIA Rail's east and westbound Hudson Bay's meet in the tundra between Thompson, MB and The Pas on a gray and very cold afternoon in late November 1991. The Churchill bound train has entered the siding and the conductor is watching the west bound train pass. When it has passed, the east bound train will back out of the siding and resume its trip through the beautiful but cold and lonely land toward Thompson by evening and then the overnight run to Churchill.
