DRGW SD40T-2 5408 is one of two DRGW units added to the front of this SP run-through (at Ogden or Salt Lake) which is entering the Grand Junction, CO yard in May 1984. Here all units were pulled from the train. The 5408 was wrecked in 1989, near Pando on the Tennessee Pass route and scrapped. The SP 8298 is also an SD40T-2. It is now Union Pacific SD40T-2R 2949.
