Last Wednesday, the DRGW 315, today "Big Al". The narrow gauge diesel (DSNG 7 - "Big Al") is the point locomotive ahead of the481 on the second Silverton train on October 3, 2007. Here the train starts up the grade out of Hermosa. DSNG had to use the diesel because the other 480 series locomotives are in the shop and the 478 pulled the first train. Quite the "protection power".
