The last train of the day heads off into the mountains away from Silverton on September 21, 2005.

The last train on September 21, 2005 heads away from Silverton into the "misty mountains" as the fall mood is enhanced by the rain. I'm not sure if those in the covered gondolas felt "enhanced by the rain". Nevertheless the mood really felt like the high mountains in the fall. I really like this image because it has the quality of a painting with the rich fall colors. I think this is quickly becoming one of my favorite images.
