ARR 4004 and 4009 await their call at Seward, AK on August 25, 20123.

Alaska RR SD70 MAC's 4004 and 4009 along with 4011 and 4006 await their departure call at in the shadow of the mountains of the Kenai Fjords National Park at Seward, AK on August 25, 2012. The 4009/4006 are ready to head east with their empty coal train, but await the passenger train's departure. The Alaska RR brings coal trains to the Seward coal loading facility where they are unloaded and the coal is loaded on to ships for export. In addition to the railroad activity, Seward is a great spot for visitors interested in Alaska's wildlife and scenic beauty. The Sealife Center and the Kenai Fjords NP cruises are well worth spending time here.
