CCRG train in the heart of the Royal Gorge on May 31, 2006.

View from the dome. The Canon City & Royal Gorge tourist train runs along the Arkansas River through the Royal Gorge out of Canon (Canyon) City, CO. This segment of the Tennessee Pass line is still in service and is dispatched by Union Pacific from Omaha. This was the first train on May 31, 2006. The full length dome cars were originally refurbished for service in Alaska. Two of them were on this train. The equipment is first rate and the track is in great shape.
