Southern Pacific SD45T-2R along with two other newly rebuilt units, the 6829 and 6830 as well as a trailing "Kodachrome" march the "Oilcan" up the Tehachapi grade with engineer Vince "the Godfather" Cipolla at the throttle in April 1988. The midtrain helpers can be seen above the tank cars at the far right. This was SP's hottest train at this time.
