Southern Pacific's SD40-2R 7379 "brick" heads downhill as the last unit of a light engine movement in April 1988. This is a group of helpers heading back down the mountain, to be ready for their next call. Because of the number of tunnels and infrequent washings, units such as the 7379 were affectionately labeled "bricks". The scarlet and grey has become almost pure black - including road numbers and railroad.
