SP SD45R 7559 heads west near the Cable crossovers on the Tehachapi, CA grade close to sunset in April 1991. This locomotive was a "regular" on this stretch of railroad during this period. Even though at that time I didn't get to this area too often, it seemed that the 7559 was here when I was. Being in the failed ATSF merger "Kodachrome" paint scheme made this unit stand out from most of the others. By 1991 many of the earlier "Kodachromes" had been repainted into the standard SP paint scheme.
