Union Pacific 844 lays over at the Kansas City Union Station on June 10, 2011. It was returning early from a trip to Arkansas due to Missouri River flooding concerns. It cut short its visit by one day because of concerns about the Missouri River's upcoming flood crest between Kansas City and Omaha. The special train was to leave Kansas City for Omaha early on June 11. Also providing power for the consist is UP 1982, the Missouri Pacific heritage unit.
