Union Pacific 844(4) near Lynndyl, UT in May 1989.

Union Pacific 8444 is approaching Lynndyl, UT in May 1989, returning from Los Angeles. What started out in Milford, UT as a beautiful sunny day has turned into a dust storm which shows why the short lived Amtrak "Desert Wind" between LA and Salt Lake City was so named. At this point, the train was heading for an open to the public layover in Salt Lake City before heading to the Northwest.
