Nothing to crow about. After waiting for over two hours for some activity on November 9, 2011, where the ex RI "Spine Line" crosses the line out of Shortline yard in Des Moines, IA, UP GP 39-2 1216 (ex MKT 367) along with UPY 1377 left the yard with a small cut of grain hoppers not long before sunset. In the past, mid afternoon had several freights going and coming from the yard on the north leg of the junction (not shown here, to the right of the image). The field full of crows was sent into the air by the train. Some days many trains, other days.....oh well. Notice the remote control operation lights on the rear of the cab roof on the 1216..
