UP 3194 with the Granite Local in November, 1988.

Union Pacific SD40-2 3194 as well as MKT 615 and SD40 3099 are three well worn veterans taking the Granite local from Cheyenne, WY to the nearby granite quarry at the start of Sherman Hill which is a source of ballast. The 3194 may still be on the roster as it received a mid-life overhaul emerging as an SD40-2R. The 615 later became UP 3823. The 3099 went to Mexico (NDM) prior to leaving the roster.
