Union Pacific SD70M 4020 east leads its train out of the area locally known as "Buffalo Bend", Nebraska on June 1, 2005. Three out of the four locomotives are SD70Ms, with one GE sandwiched in. SD70M's appear to have taken over the role of the system workorses that was held by the SD40's in the late 1970's and 80's, with the GE's holding down the majority of the coal train power requirements.
