Union Pacific C40-8 9123 along with 9262 and an SD40-2 leave Milford, UT with their westbound manifest in April 1989. At that time the C40-8's were less than 2 years old. Today (6/2009), many of those units are sitting in storage lines due to the current recession, and, given their age, the question is will they return to UP service, or be sold off.
