Union Pacific C40-8 9238 is the first train of a 3 train meet at these crossovers between Pine Bluffs, Wy and Bushnell, NE on a cold gloomy November 1988 afternoon. The 9238 is about a month old at this time. When they were new and different, some refered to the C40-8's as "Techno-toasters". They and the SD60's were the final "standard cab" road engines purchased by the Union Pacific.
