Union Pacific GP40X's 94 and 91 west deadheading a passenger special east of Medicine Bow, Wyoming around Thanksgiving, 1988. The small group of GP40X's were rated at 3500 hp and also the HT-B trucks. These were experimental "Super Series" locomotives but didn't quite live up to expectations.
