Union Pacific CP 459 is on the high plains between Bushnell, NE and Pine Bluffs, WY (which is visible to the right behind the signal). On this gloomy November 1988 afternoon I had been heading west, on route 30 pacing a grain train when I heard the dispatcher tell the grain train that he was meeting two at CP 459. The two eastbound trains, visible in the distance are a auto rack train and a coal train. In order for the grain train to proceed west, the auto rack train needs to get by first, followed by the coal train which wll cross over and free up the track in front of the grain train.
