New Union Pacific Kate Shelley bridge as it appeared on July 28, 2009. This view is from the one lane bridge which crosses the Iowa river north of the railroad bridges. The bridge was subsequently opened on October 1, 2009. The older Kate Shelley high bridge is behind (south) of the new structure.
